Watching Weed Part 3

Here are the latest photos from my “growing experiment.” if you have seen earlier blog postings then you already know I started a new plant strain a few months ago on my balcony. I started the seeds of this plant in a very small pot in my kitchen, then moved it to my living room and several weeks later transplanted it into a bigger pot and it’s now almost taller than I am!

The summer here has not been that great. I’m really quite surprised this plant managed to grow at all. Now, as all the trees around here begin to change color in preparation for the fall season, this plant starts to flourish. I guess that’s what’s meant by “a late bloomer !”

The challenge now is fending off the cute little birds that want to feast on my baby, not to mention a unique variety of bugs.

I’m hoping and praying that the dozens and dozens of tiny, new growths as seen in the photo below, are going to be smokable buds. I can’t really say because this is an all-new strain of marijuana.

Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes as planned, mainly that I don’t get busted considering there are apartments below, above, to the right and to the left of me. It’s an exciting venture to say the least.

Strangely enough, there are tomatoes also growing on my balcony and the smell of those plants is really quite pungent. That might be a good thing. We’ll see.

Stay tuned and groomed.

Watching Weed Part 2

Having just contributed content to a Holland magazine called Highlife, I realized I should be contributing some content to my own damn website POTLUCK TV. Thus, this latest installment of “watching weed.”

As some of you may recall a few months ago I planted a few seeds and posted the photo of when they first appeared above ground. The picture below shows how much they’ve grown thus far.

Now, bear in mind I’m staying at friends in Europe and certainly had no intention of growing weed while on “vacation”. I found a couple seeds in the shake from some bag of grass I bought over here. Be that as it may, nature has taken her course and who am I to stand in the way of mother nature?

If you look closely at the soil you will see a very small plant which apparently it was a very late bloomer. It’s now struggling to grow and I think getting dominated by the roots of the others. Will it survive?

I’ll keep you in the loop.

Happy Mutha Fukin 420

I couldn’t imagine not celebrating a day like today. So, that’s what I’m doing. I woke up (and crashed) thinking I’d jump into getting some sort of show together to celebrate but man, I baked awake and from there it’s been all uphill.

It’s no secret I’ve been feeling like Hank from Californication, only without the sea of pussy. How lame is that? No, it’s been no easy time lately. Lucky for me I’ve got my left hand. 🙂

Anyway, I’ve kept my promise to myself and managed to blog at least something respectable. As my 420 day comes to a slow end, most of you readers 420 day is just kicking off, am I right? good! Make it a damn good one!

I can think of no better way to ring in a new 420 day then to share a clip from Weeds.

HAPPY 420!
